Biological lake treatment — from algal bloom to mirror surface
Iszapfaló Kft. — since 2006
Preserving our existing water reserves gets harder every year: drier summers, heavier rainfall, faster siltation. For twenty years we have been measuring, dredging, biologically treating, manufacturing geotextiles and installing floating solar plants — in Hungary, Serbia and Slovakia. One partner, from initial survey to final reuse.
Where we meet water and sludge
Our clients come from four segments. The underlying logic is similar, but the emphasis and the regulatory environment differ. The cards below start from what hurts — not from what we sell.
Siltation, algae blooms, oxygen deficit, bank erosion. The lake’s water retention capacity falls year by year, the warming water evaporates faster, and usability deteriorates from one season to the next. Biological treatment, dredging, bank reinforcement — manageable end-to-end with one partner.
See the solutions
Slurry lagoons, wastewater pre-settling tanks, abattoir basins, food-industry sludge lagoons. Loss of storage capacity, odour, regulatory pressure — three solutions, in different proportions. The site conditions decide which one you need.
See the solutions
Production ponds, settling and pre-settling basins. As water temperatures rise, the nutrient balance gets out of hand and the immune response weakens. Live-culture biological treatments that do not interrupt production — and accurate surveys so you always know where you stand.
See the solutions
Urban lakes, park ponds, protected areas, EU NBS obligations. Tender scheduling and permitting are at least as important as the technical solution itself — we bring documentation support for both.
See the solutionsHow we work
We don’t guess. Our process is standard, and every step ends with a decision the client makes — on the basis of the information we have surveyed beforehand.
Bed mapping, ultrasonic imaging, sludge-layer thickness, layer-by-layer sampling, physico-chemical analysis. We tell you what is under the water — before we suggest anything.
Biological treatment, mechanical dredging, or the two combined. For each we set out cost, schedule and expected outcome. The client decides.
In-house dredging fleet (100–450 m³/h), in-house geotextile workshop, in-house biological reagents. Permitting and waste-handling documentation included.
Maintenance treatments keep the result in place for decades. With LakeMind club membership, the lake’s own AI agent organises the measurements, logs the interventions and answers questions in plain language — so the knowledge stays with the lake even if the operator moves on.
One slider, two states
Drag the slider and see what the change looks like. All three pairs come from real Iszapfaló projects — drone, ground and instrument-based measurement frames.
New club membership — lakemind.club
Hungarian lakes share a familiar pattern: one person knows when oxygen needs replenishing, where the sludge accumulates, and how the water reacted to the last intervention. All of it in their head. When they leave, that knowledge goes with them. LakeMind reorganises this knowledge: for every club member’s lake we build a dedicated AI agent that turns existing measurements, logs, photos and operator experience into a structured, queryable knowledge base — in plain language. The members’ agents are connected through a central AI Orchestrator: what is new at one lake today is built into every member’s agent tomorrow.
