LakeMind — lakemind.club
Every lake deserves its own expert. Even when Uncle Pista retires.
LakeMind builds AI agents for lakes. Each agent is a dedicated digital expert for a specific lake: it organises existing measurements, logs, photographs and operator experience, talks with the operator in plain language, and remembers everything that has ever been done to the lake. The club connects all members’ agents to a central AI Orchestrator network — what is new at one lake today is built into every member’s agent tomorrow.
Who the Club is for
The “lake agents” — the people who carry the lake in their heads.
LakeMind members are the people responsible for a lake day in and day out. The ones who know when oxygen needs replenishing, where the sunken willow that tears the nets lies, and how the water reacted to last year’s intervention. Today that knowledge lives in one person’s head, a notebook and a few Excel files — nowhere else. LakeMind reorganises this knowledge into a usable form.
- Operators of privately owned lakes (1–50 hectares)
- Fish farms and aquaculture cooperatives
- Angling associations and angling-lake operators
- Municipal lake and surface-water managers
- Stewards of ecological lakes in protected areas
- Operators of resort lakes and wellness water surfaces
LakeMind does not replace official laboratory analyses or mandatory sampling, and it is not a miracle cure for sludge problems. What it provides: a structured, queryable knowledge base for the lake — one that persists even when the operator changes — plus a club intelligence that shares every member’s experience.
Why this exists
The “Uncle Pista problem”
A typical Hungarian lake operation looks like this: one person has been doing it for 30–40 years. They know where the old sunken willow lies that rips the nets. They feel when oxygen needs replenishing. They know the southern part of the lake is prone to going septic in summer heat, because that’s where the sludge piles up. They remember exactly what worked twelve years ago in a similar situation — and what didn’t.
None of this knowledge sits in anyone else’s head. It isn’t written down, and if it is, the notebook is unreadable. When Uncle Pista retires, or falls out one day and never comes back, that knowledge goes with him. His successor will repeat every mistake — because he doesn’t know what he should know.
LakeMind doesn’t wait until the knowledge is gone. We structure and record what can be known about the lake, and build an AI agent that makes it queryable in plain language. Uncle Pista’s knowledge stops being a personal archive — it becomes the lake’s own digital memory.
What the Club delivers
Six elements you get with club membership.
01 · A dedicated AI agent for your lake
For every club member’s lake we build a bespoke AI agent. Into the agent we feed existing measurement data, intervention logs, photographs and the operator’s experience. The agent is queryable in plain language — via Telegram, WhatsApp or the web. “When did we last have an oxygen drop this severe, and what did we do then?” — the agent answers from your lake’s own history, not in generalities.
02 · The central AI Orchestrator — club intelligence
The lake agents are not islands. They connect to a central AI Orchestrator network that holds the Club’s collective knowledge. If a new biological protocol worked at a fish farm in Szabolcs last year, every member’s agent will know about it. The Orchestrator also fixes bugs, deploys new features and reacts to regulatory changes — across every member at once.
03 · Knowledge digitisation — the Uncle Pista solution
We come on site once: we take measurements, go through the operator’s notebooks and spreadsheets, take photographs, and interview everyone who carries the lake in their head. This raw material is then turned into a structured form and becomes the agent’s knowledge base. From there, every new measurement and intervention by the operator goes straight in.
04 · Permitting and tender preparation
On a single request the agent assembles the water-quality history, the intervention log and photo documentation — for tender annexes, authority reporting and insurance claim handling. What used to take days now takes half an hour.
05 · Iszapfaló engineering in the background
AI doesn’t work alone. If the agent doesn’t have an answer or the question demands a serious decision, it reaches Iszapfaló’s engineers with one click. Club members have priority handling and discounted rates whenever dredging, biological treatment or bank protection work is actually needed.
06 · Club content and peer exchange
Monthly professional newsletter (regulatory updates, seasonal tasks), 2–3 online club workshops per year for members, anonymous case write-ups from other members’ experience, and moderated peer exchange between members — kept to the point.
An average day
Morning: ask. Daytime: passive cover. End of week: overview.
-
Morning
A question for the agent
The operator messages the agent on Telegram or WhatsApp: “I noticed the water turning cloudy on the south side yesterday. Has this happened before?” The agent answers in 30 seconds — drawing on the lake’s own history, referencing past cases, and suggesting measurements if needed.
-
Daytime
Passive cover
The operator gets on with the day. In the background the agent watches the incoming data — and if the Orchestrator has seen a similar pattern at other lakes (for example oxygen dynamics ahead of a heat wave), it proactively flags it: “At a fifth member’s lake this same pattern preceded a fish-kill warning by two days. Worth running aeration now.”
-
End of week
Weekly recap
Sunday evening the agent sends a short summary in plain language: what it saw this week, which trends are emerging, what is worth watching next week. Not a flood of charts — a normal-length email you can read over coffee.
-
Annually
The Iszapfaló visit
Once a year an Iszapfaló engineer comes to the lake, takes a look around, runs measurements, reviews the year’s data with the agent, and writes a formal report. It is part of the club membership, not a separately billed job.
Why it’s worth it
Five concrete reasons, no marketing fluff.
01 · The knowledge stays — even when the person leaves.
The AI agent is the digital counterpart of Uncle Pista’s knowledge. New steward, new operator, new owner — everyone inherits the same structured knowledge base. The value doesn’t evaporate with a retirement.
02 · Club intelligence — national experience for a single lake.
On your own lake alone you can only learn so much — a few lessons per season, that’s it. In the Club, every member’s experience reaches every other member, anonymised and structured. The Orchestrator refreshes this daily.
03 · A data asset — for tenders, sales and authorities.
The data set organised by the agent belongs to the member. We hand it over in PDF or Excel at any time. Use it as a tender annex, a technical pack for selling the property, or evidence in a dispute with an authority.
04 · A professional partner — not a piece of software.
The customer is not buying a monthly SaaS subscription. They are joining a club where Iszapfaló’s twenty years of engineering experience sits behind the AI. The difference is real — especially when it’s time to make a serious call.
05 · Priority on Iszapfaló work.
When something heavier is needed — dredging, biological treatment, bank protection — club members come first in Iszapfaló’s capacity allocation and get discounted rates. This isn’t marketing copy: it is the concrete economic upside of membership.
Joining
From consultation to a working agent — four steps.
-
01 · Consultation
A 60–90 minute conversation with the lake’s operator and the owner. What do we know about the lake? Which data and logs exist? What recurring problems appear? Who inherits the knowledge if someone leaves? This conversation is free, and you don’t have to join.
-
02 · On-site measurements and data gathering
We come to the lake once: take measurements (water, sediment, bed samples), review existing notebooks and spreadsheets, take photographs, and interview the operator and anyone else who carries the lake in their head. This is the raw material for digitisation.
-
03 · Data structuring and agent build
From the raw material we assemble the agent: measurements go into a time-series database, experiential knowledge is structured, photographs get context. The agent learns this body of material, we make it queryable in plain language, and deploy it on the chosen channel.
-
04 · Club membership and Orchestrator connection
The agent is ready and joins the central AI Orchestrator network. From here on it is available daily; every new measurement, intervention and observation goes in. The Orchestrator keeps it updated — according to club tier.
Like the concept but unsure whether it fits your lake? Let’s talk — no obligation, and we’ll come back with a concrete proposal for your specific lake within two weeks.
Frequently asked
The most common questions — answered honestly.
Isn’t this an IoT sensor project? Do I need expensive hardware?
No. An explicit founding principle of LakeMind is that we do not put sensors on your lake. We work with the measurement tools you already have — a hand-held probe, whatever it is. The value isn’t in the hardware; it’s in making the existing knowledge structured, queryable and connected to the club intelligence.
What exactly is an “AI agent” — a chatbot built on ChatGPT?
No. A lake agent is a domain expert built for one specific lake. The agent answers from your lake’s data history, your operator’s notes, the operator’s experience, and the Orchestrator’s club knowledge — not in generalities, and not from generic content pulled off the internet. It cannot be replaced by ChatGPT.
What is the Orchestrator, and what does it give me for my own lake?
The Orchestrator is the Club’s central AI core. It does three things: (1) anonymously shares between members what has worked or failed elsewhere; (2) fixes bugs in the lake agents and deploys new features; (3) if a new need surfaces at one member (a new measurement type, a new report format), integrates it into the network. All this rolls out to every member at once, with nothing for you to install.
Is my data safe? What can other club members see?
Your data is yours. We process it as a data processor. Other club members never see anything identifiable about you or your lake — only anonymised, statistical patterns (for instance: “in angling lakes under 10 ha, dissolved oxygen typically drops from the second week of August”). We never share data with third parties for commercial purposes.
What if I leave the club? Does my agent stay?
When club membership ends, the Orchestrator connection ends with it (so you no longer receive club intelligence updates), but the agent’s knowledge base remains yours. Within 30 days we export the entire dataset in PDF or Excel. The agent function itself can be kept running on our side for a maintenance fee, or transferred to an in-house platform of your own. Re-joining at any time is possible, no early-exit fee.
What if our operator isn’t a tech person? Will they actually use it?
LakeMind is deliberately designed so that the operator doesn’t have to learn a new app. They talk to the agent on the channel they already use — Telegram, WhatsApp or, if more comfortable, e-mail. They speak Hungarian to it, the way they would to anyone else. In the first weeks we provide tighter support.
What if something really goes wrong with the lake?
Then Iszapfaló steps in — not as a cold marketing call but as a professional partner who, through the agent, has known your lake for months. Sludge dredging, biological treatment, bank protection, hydraulic engineering — everything we have been doing since 2006. As a club member you have priority and discounted rates.
The knowledge that lives in one person’s head today can belong to the lake.
Based on a 20-minute conversation we will tell you whether this makes sense for your lake. If not, we say so plainly. If yes, we come back with a concrete proposal and pricing within two weeks.
